It’s been almost two years since working from home was forced upon us by the pandemic. In that time, the team has adapted amazingly, moved into a shiny new office and also doubled in size. March 2022 was the first time the full team was all together and it felt really great to be in the same room!
We’re also delighted to welcome Chloe Charlton, who joined the team this week under the government Kickstart scheme as a Production Assistant. We can’t wait to see her thrive over the coming months. Chloe completes our sextet during an exciting period of growth for the studio. Last year, we were thrilled to be joined by Animator, Tom Gamble and Junior Animator, Kris Zhekov. Kris has brought a passion for expressive cel animation and highly personable character design. Meanwhile Tom has over 6 years of experience working with all things design and motion for clients such as EDF Energy, Royal Mail, and Twitter.
Rounding up the team news, we’re also excited that Amy has taken up her new role as Head of Production. Amy has been with Little Motel since the early days, watching the team double in size and go from strength to strength. We can’t wait to see her continue to flourish with the business.
We’ve also been busy moving into our new office. Luckily, it wasn’t a long journey from our old one. Just upstairs to be precise. We’re looking forward to getting settled into Unit 23 and inviting everyone over for a drink as soon as we’ve put the finishing touches on the space!
