Fairytale guide to the history of national debt charity.
The problem
Building on our ongoing relationship, CAP UK asked us to create a series of films for their 25th-anniversary celebration event. Reflecting on the charity’s journey, the motion graphics needed to summarise CAP’s history with a light-hearted tone, featuring archive photography. The films introduced each section of the celebration event, signposting landmark moments through the years.
Our solution
Our four-film series dramatises CAP’s key milestones. Much of the audience was already familiar with the story and characters so there was room for humour and artistic license. For this, we collaborated with the CAP team to create a fairytale script complete with a rhyming voiceover. To complement the magical narrative, the team developed collage visuals. The Disney-fairytale storybook motif brought this all together. Then we transitioned between pages throughout the chapters.

A fairytale project.
We divided the content into four motion graphics films, each focussing on a different era of CAP, from creation and growth to the launch of their new vision. Using CAP photography alongside playful stock visuals, the team developed collage visuals to create unique multi-layered scenes. We then designed disproportioned characters to emphasise their emotions and actions. The heroes of our tale are friends and colleagues of the audience. With this in mind, our character design brings humour and amplifies their personalities, increasing engagement with the audience.
