As Unipol’s animation partner, we’ve built a relationship so that we understand their audience and brand. For this 2D animation, Unipol needed to encourage students to reduce their rubbish when moving out. An enormous amount of waste is generated during the student tenancy changeover period. So it was important to engage with students across the UK and provide them with support to help lower waste.
Our nationwide campaign was posted on their social media, website and shown in their housing hubs in the run up to the student house changeover period. The tone is friendly and helpful without condescending or judging viewers. Our team created a vibrant colour palette so the 2D animation is bright and eye-catching for students scrolling through social feeds or walking past the housing hub wall. As well as the films, Unipol used the designs in a full digital campaign. This brought a larger audience to the message, helping decrease even more waste.
For maximum engagement, the text script uses a mix of bold fonts to draw attention to key information. We kept the script short and concise so it was easy for viewers to take in. We also designed the visuals to be clear and easy to understand. The flowing brush stroke was designed to help the film move seamlessly along, highlighting the clear actions students can take to reduce waste.
